The Pilot

Directly after being broken up with at the top of the script, Lindsay Peck begins to spiral. She runs around her house in a daze until she hears a knock at her front door. Opening it proves a challenge, and when she finally gets it unstuck, it hits her in the head, and Lindsay is knocked unconscious.

Lindsay wakes up in 1590s England, and she immediately starts to get home, running around town trying to find a way. In this time, she finds a new issue that takes precedence when she realizes exactly where and when she is--in Stratford Upon Avon at the time that William Shakespeare is writing Romeo and Juliet based on two lovers in the town who are, as we all know from the play, fated to die.

Lindsay takes it upon herself to now save the two of them from death before figuring out how to get home herself. This, of course, leads nowhere, as history has already been written, and she cannot actually change anything.
